In 2003/4, we carried out a pilot digitisation project involving the scanning of over 300 documents (resulting in over 1,200 images) from our varied collections of landed estate and family papers, and also items from Clonakilty Museum that relate to the Hungerford family in West Cork. This project was funded by the Library Council of Ireland Cultural Heritage Project. We also produced guidelines for the digitisation of archives.
