Retirement of Claire Murphy 

We recently said goodbye to our colleague Claire Murphy, retiring after 45 years in the public service including over 20 years in the Archives and 25 in the Library Service.

At the Archives, Claire assisted the Archivists and worked on many major collections for us including the following:

• Bass Solicitors 5,000 items
• Hayes Solicitors 2,100 items
• Cork City Council Minute books index 1906-1965, 1033 pages
• Rita Lynch, 1400 items
• Cork Hist. and Arch. Society rare book collection, 600 items
• Michael O'Leary, 53 boxes
• Anthony Barry photo archive, 6,000 images
• Pat Brennan, 1,300 items
• City Planning Department library, 600 items
• Walter McGrath, 800 items
