Cotter GAA Collection

We recently listed the contents of the Cotter G.A.A. Collection which was donated to the Archives in 2008 and 2011. The collection, which was created and donated by William Cotter, is a mine of information on GAA events, teams, and personalities, mainly Cork related, such as the famous Christy Ring and Jack Lynch. The collection comprises 4 large scrapbooks of photographs and news cuttings, and almost 200 national and local match programmes and GAA booklets. It covers the period from the 1930s up to the 2000s, with a particular concentration of items from the 1960s to the 1990s.
